Twisted Thursday--Summer Embellishments

Hello! Is it hot enough where you live? I know it is plenty hot here, definitely summer here in Tennessee. Aren't these just the cutest images? Perfect for  making you think of the cool waters of the ocean. Our challenge this week is to use some summer embellishments on our projects. I love that lime green ribbon, it is perfect for summer cards and projects. My other summer embellishment is that cool, sparkly sun button. Want to play along with us this week? Just create a project with your favorite summer embellishments and link it to the Shirley's 2 Girls Challenge blog. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit the rest of the DT for even more inspiration.

TWisted Thursday--Use ORANGE!

My favorite day of the week is here--it's another Twisted Thursday! This week the twist is to use the color ORANGE. Not hard for me at all since that happens to be one of my favorite colors. Want to play along with us? Create your own project and then link it to the Shirley's 2 Girls challenge blog so we can come see your work. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT too!!

My maestro image is colored with Copic markers. I love that retro looking paper, that and the other papers are from DCWV. The music notes were die cut using some Sizzlet dies. I used a little orange Stickles on the star in the corner.

Twisted Thursday--Use Water, Waves or Wet!

Hello!! It summer and the perfect week for a water inspired challenge with Shirley's 2 Girls. Our Twisted Thursday challenge is to use WATER, WAVES or something WET on your project. I just love sand castles and this one was a lot of fun to play with, and what a great sentiment too. I started by coloring my image with Copic markers. I used some papers from DCWV and I chose those papers because the mosaic one reminded me of a pool liner and the other one is actually a piece of paper with waves cresting on a beach. To complete my beach theme here, I added a shell button and some star border. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT too, we all have some really cute summer images.

Twisted Thursday--SPARKLE!!

Wow, it is already Thursday again, I can't believe it is already July! Well it is my favorite time of the week because it's time for another S2G Twisted Thursday! Our twist this week was to add some SPARKLE to our project. I started with my Mermaid image and colored her with Copic markers. For the sea grass behind her, I added some bluish green glitter glue. I also added some glittery chipboard accents. We would love to see your projects that you create, just remember to add some SPARKLE and then link it to the challenge site so we can come and visit you.

We have five new additions to the Shirley's 2 Girls design team. Welcome to Chris, Laurel, Mae, Melissa and Wendy! Plus you can go and check out these DT blogs for some more amazing inspiration: Ann, Cat, Debbie, Georgia, Jane and Judy
