Mermaid Anya

Good Morning! My card today uses the Mermaid Anya from The Greeting Farm. She is colored with Copic/Prisma markers. I used paint for the pearls in her hair. Paper is DCWV. All those circles made me think of water bubbles. I was almost finished with this card and inked the edges of the patterned paper and the blue card stock with white ink, but decided it looked too plain. Then I saw this wonderful glitter that I decided to use around the border of my card. I wish I knew where that glitter came from! I have it in this color and one that is a purple blue mix and would love to have more of it. I am very proud though, that I am continuing to use items from my huge stash of supplies rather than purchasing anything new right now. I have used up a couple of rolls of ribbon and lots of paper scraps. I also stocked Jenna and Samantha's card boxes with supplies for them to use. I am very slowly starting to see some reduction in the boxes and drawers. Have a great day!

you know, the glitter is what first caught my eye about this card! and good for you on using your stash! I'm trying to do the same and not be tempted to go out and buy everything I see. (not always easy, but trying!)

Very nice card! The background behind little mermaid Anya is just perfect - goes so well with the image. The extra sparkle of the glitter is perfect with a mermaid image.

The paper and the sparkles are perfect. This brings back such great memories, my girls were addicted to mermaids when they were little. They'd love this card.

I am doing the same thing with my stash too! Too much of a good thing is still too much.Like the glitz...but then again I am attracted to bright shiny objects! :)

This little mermaid is darling! And doesn't it feel GREAT to use your stuff? I feel like I've finally been able to let you of the "horde and not use" mentality and just enjoy getting in and playing with it all!
