I scrapped!

Scrapping is something that I rarely do any more. And I admire all you people are organized enough to go to a crop and actually accomplish something. I am generally not that person. But while I was in Memphis this weekend I was going to meet some friends at Archivers for a crop. Normally if I go to a crop, I take my Copics and some stamped images and color. I decided to take some the pictures from the Star Wars concert we went to for our anniversary and some pictures that I plan to make a family cookbook with. I took some papers to work with and planned to get a few pages done.

My first stop in Memphis was Eclectica. What a store! If you ever in the area, you have to stop by there. If you live within driving distance, it is worth the drive. They had a great selection of both stamping and scrapbooking items. One of the first things that went in my cart was this Star Wars mini album kit. I was very happy to have found it since I brought Star Wars pictures with me. I had seen the 12 x 12 papers and some rub-ons before but never this kit. It was great too because since I was planning to make a mini book anyway, the designs on the papers were scaled for a mini book.

I did manage the complete the entire thing during the crop. It's not elaborate, I don't normally scrap that way, but since it was going to be for Kip, I kept it simple. I put it back in the box and told him I got him a surprise and he thought it was just a kit. He really liked it though!

I had a great week and now I am off to visit some blogs!

Balloon Card and a couple of layouts

Just a quick post today! This card was made using the sketch provided in the Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoast this week. At first I really struggle with the CAS concept, but I have found that I really enjoy it. Since I tend to like bright colors and I like those bright colors paired with white, CAS works for me quite well. I used a stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps, I believe it was the stamp of the month from last June, to stamp my balloons and sentiment. The balloons were colored with Copics and a white gel pen was used for hi-lights. Ribbon and paper are from my stash.

Yesterday I mentioned that I was going to be helping some little girls with Pet Scrapbooks (not for the pets though!). I thought I would include a couple of layouts that we did. Actually they just needed a little help from me and then they did their own thing.
