Thanks for all the well wishes for my mom. She got out of the hospital this afternoon, still in quite a bit of pain. Hopefully in the next few days that will start to lessen and she will be able to get around better.
I have been crafting with Jenna and Samantha for several years now and just within the past few weeks they have really gotten into making their own cards. They've always made their mom's birthday and mother's day cards, but are no longer satisfied with a piece of folded construction paper! They have their own tools, stamp pads, coloring pencils and other supplies. I have posted several of Samantha's projects and Jenna has decided that she would like to see some her her stuff posted. I have taught them several techniques and they like to watch what I do. But I really just kind of turn them loosed when they are creating. They will sometimes ask my opinion or ask me how to do something but they pretty much come up with their own ideas as far as layout, papers and everything else. So here is the card that Jenna wanted to post this week:

Hi Gina, thanks for stopping by and making a comment. Jenna's card - love her image and the coloring is perfect for the paper she chose. Your little girl from a few days ago is so cute and the masculine card is great - I find them on the difficult side myself. I love looking at all your cards, there's so much inspiration with this group, I hope we all stay togeter. Great Job!!
nice work, gina!!
Both of these cards are fantastic! I adore the church image. Great designs on both of them.
I love your church card! Fun Flock is the best! It is my new best freind!
Jenna, very nice job on your card! I love the black-white-grey color combo! Very modern looking!
I keep forgetting about fun flock. Things get buried on the shelves and you forget about them til you see a card with it. You did a great job on the church card.
Message for Jenna....beautiful job on your card. The colouring is very mod.
May still have to go back and get that church stamp! Your card is a great rendition of the challenge!
Pretty card! Love your hand drawn/colored hills and tree! Also, love the puffy texture on your clouds. I'll have to keep that technique of puffing them up in mind to try sometime! :>
Jenna made a really nice modern card too! :>
Hi Gina,
I love the sky card for the Ocean's 11 challenge. The coloring and the entire layout is really nice.
That was the pefect stamp for the sky challenge - never thought about using flock for the clouds but it's a clever addition.
What a cute little church. Great card for the 'sky' challenge. I too love those cute country churches. (Oh and covered bridges too!)
Both are great, but I especially love the church card!
You'll have to let me know how you like that Devil in the White City once you've finished. :)
I'm also a fan of Clear Dollar Stamps! They have some cute stuff and you have definitely done them justice! Great cards!
What a great sky. And I'm glad to hear your mom is doing better. I like little country churches too, even though I've always attended large ones! But who knows what the future might hold.
Hi Gina! I love love love this church card! Great job with the sky! I too love these churches... you did a great job coloring it!
Like your church card it turned out great!
Gina,
Your church card is so perfect for the Ocean's challenge! It's so great that you bring a personal memory forward with your approach to coloring and decorating the image. Jenna's card is great too!
