Color Challenge

I made this card for the October release challenge in the Hanna Stamps forum on SCS. The challenge was to use the colors rust, olive and teal on a card. Now, the rust and olive were easy, adding teal was not! I so rarely work with that color that I was surprised to even find a piece of teal card stock in my paper stash. I started with the Farmers stamp from Hanna Stamps, stamped it with Memento and colored it with Copics and Prisma markers. The ovals were cut out with scalloped oval Nestabilities, the papers are from DCWV and the ribbon is from my stash. Well, I am off to grab a healthy snack and then to play along with the Hanna Stamps release party!

Oh I LOVE this Riley and Sophie image. How adorable. I love how you colored it. I too find teal to be a tough color to work with because it's so dark. I think you did a good job with the color challenge.

Hmmm...I wouldn't have thought of using teal with the orange & olive, but I really like it. I guess that the best thing we get from challenges - stepping out of our comfort zone and finding something we like (and our blog readers like, too)

:)
