Valentine Challenge

I have been having so much fun playing along with challenges lately! On the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog the challenge is to create a Valentine's card for a loved one. The challenge this week is sponsored by Shirley's 2 Girls and this is one of their oh-so-cute Valentine images. You really need to go check them out! I have never been one to really make Valentine cards, but after seeing some of the Valentine images available now, I think my soon to be growing Valentine images are going to rival my Halloween image collection! After sizing and printing my image, I colored everything with Copic markers and then added a little glitz with various colored Spica pens. I picked the colors that I used from the patchwork paper that I had already picked out. For some reason the patchwork paper just seemed to go with the elephants. The heart brads used to be silver, but I colored them red using a Copic marker.

I have to say, I am enjoying the world of Digital Images far more than I thought I would. I really like being able to see an image and it be available for me to use almost immediately. That appeals to me even more than being able to resize the images. Not to mention the fact that I am limited on how much space I have to store wooden stamps. Clear is better, but I would eventually run out of room there too! I think the problem at first was an issue with my printer, not the images themselves. For some reason, the printer would only print my images about half the time. Then it got to where it would not print anything for about four or five days. We did nothing to alter the settings or anything else on the printer (well, except for me calling it some very ugly names and mentioning how close Staples is to the house). Since then it has worked beautifully, no problems. With no printer issues, the Digital images are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I appreciate your visits and kind comments!

Gina, I adore this card! Such fun colors and the design is fabulous! Glad you got your printer straightened out! LOL I really enjoy playing with digi images too. I love the versatility in regards to sizing and if I don't want to color it with my copics I can color it in photoshop and print it out for a graphic look.
