Twisted Thursday--Use Notebook Paper

Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to another Twisted Thursday! I can't believe it is already time for school to start back, the summer has just flown by so quickly. Shirley's 2 Girls' have done it again, I love all these new back to school images, each one is just cuter than the last. Our twist this week is to use notebook paper on our project. I happened to have this cute notebook paper that I got from Jo-Ann's a while back, I like it because instead of being plain white, it is yellow which happens to be my favorite color. My image is colored with Copic markers and the blackboard paper is from DCWV. I used A Sizzix set called Rat-A-Tat for my ABCs. We would love to have you play along with us this week. Create your project, remembering to use the twist of notebook paper and then link it to the S2G challenge blog. Don't forget to check out the other DT blogs too.

Shirley's 2 Girls have also started a tutorial blog that can be found here. Keep checking back to see how to create some really awesome projects.

And here is my card! Perfect timing for me too since I have a couple of weddings to attend in the next few weeks. For this one, I used the colors from one of the weddings I will be attending and the Congratulations image. Our twist was to use "Something Old" and I used the first embossing folder that I ever bought and some old ribbon that I have had for a while. I added some shading to my doves with a Copic marker and some sparkle to the flourishes with a Sakura Glitter pen. I used papers from DCWV.

Your next stop on the Blog Hop is the very talented Jane!

For my projects today, I decided to make things using the Birthday Party Favor Digis. I think this is one of the best examples of why digis are so great; they can be sized to whatever your project is and you can create an entire matching party set from invitations to treats to decorations all using the same images and coordinate all your party goods. One of my favorite things about a birthday party are the treats and activities. I remember going to parties as a child and getting that little goodie bag of treasures to take home with me. Now as an adult, I have a non-crafting friend that lets me make all the treats and treasures for her daughters' treat bags. I started with these fun mazes.

Remember these? I simply took small plastic mazes from the kid's party section, popped off the back and inserted the digi image of my choice that was sized and decorated and then reassembled them. You just have to be careful taking the back off or you will lose the little ball. These are a lot of fun and can be made with any image and make great little items to keep in your purse to keep little ones entertained when you are waiting somewhere. Here are mazes made with each of the images:
Still sticking with the Party Favor digis that I chose, I decided to make little treat holders too. I made the digis a little smaller this time. I wanted them a little smaller than the opening in my treat holder so that you can see the Sour Gummi Bears that are in each one. The bears also match my color theme I have going on here. I just attached my digi, filled the container, added a bow and there were my treats!
I thought I would show you one more project with my Party Favor digi. This time I blew up the circle a little larger and picked one to color and made a card with it.  I think these would make great invitations or thank you cards after the party.
Hopefully you came here from Jane's blog, if not you might want to start at the beginning. You don't want to miss a stop so you can collect all the words for your chance to win! So grab yourself a BOWL of Sour Gummi Bears to decorate your cake with and head on over to Ann's blog to see her fabulous project.

Hopefully you arrived here from Lisa's blog, if not you will want to go to the S2G challenge Blog and start from the beginning. For me, nothing is betting than getting together with good friends and talking and laughing. If there is a bottle of wine involved, even better! I used the Digi Image Friends, which comes with the sentiment on my card as well as two others. I love that a lot of the S2G digis come with not only a sentiment, but there is often a selection to choose from. After sizing my image to fit on my 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card, I colored it with Copic markers and added a little glitz from a glitter pen. I added some flowers from Making Memories and some rhinestones in the center of each one. My polka dot paper is one of the new Digital papers from the INDULGENCE line.
I have one more thing to show you before you head to the next stop on the tour. I took another sentiment from this set, sized it to fir my purposes and made a gift tag to go onto a bottle of wine to be taken for a girls night out. Don't forget to leave a comment telling us your favorite way to pamper yourself!! Your next stop on the tour is Jana's blog.
If your want to see the entire list of participants, please head over to the S2G Challenge Blog.

S2G Blog Hop!

Welcome to the 1st S2G Members Blog Hop sponsored by Shirley's2Girls! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at the S2G Challenge Blog. Hopefully, you have arrived here from Tiffany's blog, if not, join in the fun and start from the beginning.
My card uses the adorable Mouse and Cookies stamp from Shirley's 2 Girls. I actually bought this one because it made me think of my husband, he loves cookies more than just about anything. In fact as I was posting my pictures he noticed there were cookies in the jar and he kept asking where the cookies were. The image is great to go with holiday baking gifts. I stamped the image and then colored it with Copic and Prisma markers. the tray and cookies were stamped twice and then I cut one out and then layered it with some thin foam tape. The scalloped circle behind the image was punched out with a Marvy punch and then I used white dimensional paint to mimic the look of an iced cookie.
For the holidays, I will actually bake cookies to fill my jars. I used the same image and supplies for my cookie jar. The cookie paper is from Hobby Lobby, the card stocks are from DCWV and the ribbon and rick-rac are both from Jo-Ann's. Here is a picture of the gift jar with the card together:
How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a free stamp from Shirley’s2Girls. The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday in the SNR S2G Forum.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Charlene
