Make your own project using the colors orange and purple then link it to our challenge site. Thanks for visiting and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT for more inspiration.

S2G Digi Day image and some "Art Day" cards

Hello! Here is my other project that I made with the free digi image from Shirley's 2 Girls at our last Digi Day. Isn't that a cute little dog? After printing and coloring the image with Copics, I decided to add some rhinestones around the image. All I had on hand were the plain ones so I got out my orange Copic marker and colored them orange to match my project. The papers are from DCWV, the brads from Jo-Ann's, image was colored with Copic markers and the rhinestones are from Hobby Lobby.

Would you like this Digi Stamp? Join the S2G group over at SNR and we have this image for free and a challenge. But hurry, tonight at midnight is the deadline for the challenge.

On Friday afternoon, I had one of my friend's daughter for the afternoon for an "Art Day". Samantha has been crafting with me since she could hold a pencil and she is like me, she loves to color and make cards. She like to do a little bit of everything but stamping and painting are her favorite activities. She also loves to play along with challenges and enjoys seeing her projects on my blog. About the only thing she likes to color with now are Copics and she has been working on her shading.

Frankie card

Isn't this the cutest little Frankenstein? Halloween images are just so much play with, I just love it. This Frankie and he is from The Stamping Boutique. They were having Digi Day on SNR on Saturday and had a challenge with this card. I remembered to print and color him and make a card and then plans changed and I didn't get to play along with them. Oh well, I still have another cute Halloween card for the stash! My paper is from the Paper Studio.

Fall is here and for the first time, we had some cooler temperatures to reflect that today. The weather was so nice! I spent most of the day inside though, working on the craft room and my kitchen. Thanks for visiting!

Candy Bar Wrapper

Happy Friday everyone!! I love making different types of treat holders, especially for Halloween. This is a very simple one and is made to hold a single full size Hershey chocolate bar. I don't have a template or measurements or anything, I just measure whatever candy bar I happen to be using and go from there. I used this digi image from Shirley's 2 Girls that was supplied for Digi Day yesterday. I colored the image with COpics, I went over the spider web with a Sakura glitter pen and then used some black Stickles on his collar.

I really love these round images like this, especially in digi form because it is so easy to make cute treat holders. Plus sine they are digi that can be used for smaller treats as well as larger ones and even cards. How would you like to have this image? If you would like this image, simply go to the Shirley's 2 Girls page on SNR and if you aren't a member already, join our group. The digi is available in one of the discussions on the main page. We are also having a challenge with this image. A winner will be randomly chosen on Tuesday at midnight. SNR is free and so is the image and you know you need to get started on those Halloween treats for the kids, so what are you waiting for? We would love to see what you create.

Twisted Thursday-Let's Get SPOOKY!!

Happy Thursday to you! I think my absolute images, especially holiday related ones have to be Halloween images. I just can't get enough of them. Not sure, why, but they are just so fun to play with, you can go a little wild with the coloring and just have fun. Our challenge this week for Twisted Thursday is to make a spooky card. I colored this S2G Love at First Bite image with Copic markers and then cut out around the image. I went over the cape with some black Stickles for some shine and then added him to my card with some foam dots for dimension. My tree was cut out with a Sizzix die and the tombstone border was made using a Martha Stewart punch. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's projects too. Want to play along? Create your own SPOOKY project and then link it here to the challenge site.

Shirley's 2 Girls will be hosting Digi Day on SNR tonight from 5-6 PST. We would love for you to join our group over there and then join in on all the fun. We will have a free digi, some chatting, a challenge and some more chatting for an evening of fun!

Spotlight Sundays

Hello! Shirley's 2 Girls has a new challenge on SNR and we are calling it Spotlight Sunday because we will be spotlighting a different category in the store for each challenge. Our very first challenge will focus on the ATTITUDES section. I used the image "Straw Hat" and colored it with Copic markers and added a little Sakura glitter pen on her necklace. I love this paper I used from DCWV, it reminds me of her necklace. I added some ribbon that I picked up and Big Lots and some pearl Dew Drops. We would love it if you joined our group on SNR and participated in the challenge with us.

I want to say a special thank you to those of you that took the time to read my other blog about my pain issues. I received so many encouraging comments and emails. I don't normally open up that much and it was nice to feel the support and encouragement.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Twisted Thursday--All about Birthdays

Hello and welcome to another Shirley's 2 girls Twisted Thursday! This week the twist is all about birthdays. Isn't that a great sentiment when you want to rub it in that someone (especially someone older than you) is getting on up there in years. I love that dog holding the "woof woff" sign too. My image was colored with Copic markers and I used paper from DCWV, ribbon and star brads from Hobby Lobby.

Want to play along with us? Simply create your birthday project and then link it HERE for a chance to win your choice of S2G images.

I have new stamps...

Don't you just love it when the post man leaves a package of stamps in your mailbox? I know I do and today was a happy day since I had a package of stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps.  Since I have been sorting through all my craft stuff and moving it and getting it organized in the new craft space, I have not been buying very much at all. But when they announced a sale on the Sweet Pea blog the other day, I had to do a little bit of shopping! This card was made last week, but you know I am going to get those new images inky soon! This is Enchanted Blue from the Ching-Chou Kuik's Fantasy Art collection. I colored her with Copic markers and then used papers from DCWV and flowers that my friend Angela gave me. These images intimidated me a little when I first saw them, but they are just so much fun to color. I love all the details on these images. Another thing I like about these is that by changing the color choices it can make them look so very different.

Thanks for stopping in and visiting. The other day, I learned about the invisible illness awareness week and wanted to do my little part to raise awareness about this issue, especially as it relates to me and the chronic pain issues I have. If you are interested in reading my blog post about the issue you can find it here. I do warn you it is a little long! I normally don't get quite this personal, but wanted to get the word out.

You still have time to participate in the Shirley's 2 Girls Critter Blog Hop. To see all the stops along the way, start here on the challenge blog. Leave comments along the way, including on the challenge blog for a chance o win some great prizes!

Spooky Card

Good morning! We are fast approaching my favorite time of the year, fall and Halloween. I love this time of year in general but I have so much fun with Halloween images and fall colors. For some reason, I just really enjoy coloring Halloween related images, something about all that pretend and dressing up I guess. Patti from Pholkart Blessings is starting to offer challenges with her stamps and this card is for the first challenge. The challenge was to use something shiny and your favorite Halloween colors. No problem! It was overcast here when I took the picture, but the green and black papers are glossy, glittered papers from DCWV and the other papers are are glittery. I used three lighter shades of Copic markers to color my letters and I wanted to mimic the look of the Drippy Goo punch, so I colored them with my colors overlapping. To finish off the card, I layered some orange and black buttons. You also can't see it here, but I painted the eyeballs inside the Os with glow in the dark paint. I couldn't get a photo of it, but I know it will be a nice surprise for my niece. She hangs my cards in her bedroom and she is going to be the recipient of this card. She is still young enough to think I am pretty amazing so that will be even more proof of that for her!

How would you like to join us in this challenge? Well, start by going to the Pholkart page on Paper Craft Planet and join the group (joining is free). Patti is offering this cute digi for FREE to members of her group. After you have completed your project link it on the blog, it's that simple! I would love to see what you make with this digi too, so leave me a comment if you want to play along with the challenge and I will come and check it out.

More Bead Work

Since I have been in the process of moving my craft room, I have found lots of supplies that I forgot that I had and lots of things I haven't used in a while. Has anyone else ever bought a duplicate of a product because you couldn't find the one that you know you already bought? Come on, admit to it so I don't feel so alone! While emptying boxes and setting up my new shelves, I found not one, not two or three, but four cans of spray adhesive. I mean, how does a person lose three cans of that stuff? It isn't something that I use a lot, but when I needed it, I needed it! I also have three cans of spray sealer (hey, at least I only lost two of those!) I am hoping that my new shelves will help combat that problem. Everything is a little more open and they are right there together where I can see most everything.

These are some book thongs that I made for some special little girls for their birthdays. Both are avid readers and I think they will enjoy them. I have made them tons of bookmarks over the years and they use them until they are pretty worn. Each girl is getting one made with her favorite colors. The little charm on the end says "follow your dreams".

Well I am off to work on the crafting space a little more. I am hoping to have it done soon and when I do, I will share pictures with you!

Twisted Thursday--Use Flocking or Feathers

Welcome to another Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday!! And out twist is to use either flock or feathers. This was a great challenge for me and the timing was just right since I just found my bin of flocking stuff this past week. Isn't that rooster just the cutest? As much as I love the rooster, I really like the sentiments that came with this image too. I colored my image with Copic markers and then used both red and brown flocking on him. I decided to go with a farm look here, with my gingham paper and "hay bales". Gingham paper is from The Paper Studio, card stock is from DCWV and the flock is from Doodlebug. My hay bundles are pieces of yellow paper cut very thin and then tied with a piece of brown paper. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT!
