Altered Composition Book

This is my fist attempt at making an altered composition book. I am making Christmas gifts for the girls' teachers, they will be getting "desk sets", including one of these books and the matching pen (I think you can see it at the bottom of the book). I haven't decided what else I am going to add, I know a bookmark and a post-it note holder. There will probably be some type of notecards as well. I bought a bunch of these books before school started while they were on sale pretty cheap. My stamp here is from the teacher set from Hanna Stamps, I stamped the image with Brilliance ink and colored with Prisma and Copic markers. I have mostly Prismas but most all of the skin colors I use are Copics. My papers are from The Paper Studio and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I love the sentiment in this set. I think that is the mark of a great teacher; if you can spark a child's curiosity and teach them how to satisfy it, you have given that child a true gift. So what do you think of my desk set? Any suggestions for other items to include?

Very cute, how did you do that ribbon on the edges? I make these but have never thought of that.
