Wishing for Sunny Days

Thank you so much for all the tips for the acetate sheet, I couldn't wait to try another card. I embossed my acetate again with a Cuttlebug folder, this time it is attached behind my image and then the brads are also helping hold it to the blue paper. I stamped my Rainy Day Hanna with Memento ink and then colored everything with Copic markers. I am not sure of the maker of the ribbon, since it is from my stash, but I believe it is from one of the DCWV accessory packs from last spring. Everything on this card came from my stash and those were the last three brads from that pack! I am making progress with my self challenge, I have finished off a couple of packages and the scrap pile is getting smaller. The only thing I need to work a little more on is to make some cards with the images that have already been colored. Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by!

I don't know why, but this color combo is simply yummy to me! I tend to find the "yummy" factor with browns and pinks (chocolate and cupcake colors, you know) but the blues and yellows are doing it for me too (must be because those are often times the colors on my kids' cakes!) I love how the acetate makes you almost "feel" the rain! Love it!

Great effect of using the acetate and bubble folder for your rainy day card. It really accentuates your theme.

Super card. I love the idea of embossing the acetate. Haven't tried that myself yet but will definitely keep it in mind for a future project. The image is so perfectly colored and really pops off the card. Love what you did with the ribbon too.

Acetate!!!!!! I was wondering where you got that cool, shiny blue paper. Off and *running* for my craft table . . .

Thank you!
