I scrapped!

Scrapping is something that I rarely do any more. And I admire all you people are organized enough to go to a crop and actually accomplish something. I am generally not that person. But while I was in Memphis this weekend I was going to meet some friends at Archivers for a crop. Normally if I go to a crop, I take my Copics and some stamped images and color. I decided to take some the pictures from the Star Wars concert we went to for our anniversary and some pictures that I plan to make a family cookbook with. I took some papers to work with and planned to get a few pages done.

My first stop in Memphis was Eclectica. What a store! If you ever in the area, you have to stop by there. If you live within driving distance, it is worth the drive. They had a great selection of both stamping and scrapbooking items. One of the first things that went in my cart was this Star Wars mini album kit. I was very happy to have found it since I brought Star Wars pictures with me. I had seen the 12 x 12 papers and some rub-ons before but never this kit. It was great too because since I was planning to make a mini book anyway, the designs on the papers were scaled for a mini book.
Here's the picture of the orchestra and the narrator.
Here is Kip with one of the backdrops and R2D2.
And this is Kip with a Storm Trooper.

This is the final page. There were a few other pages in there too, but I didn't want to bore you with all of them!
I did manage the complete the entire thing during the crop. It's not elaborate, I don't normally scrap that way, but since it was going to be for Kip, I kept it simple. I put it back in the box and told him I got him a surprise and he thought it was just a kit. He really liked it though!

I had a great week and now I am off to visit some blogs!

Isn't it great when you find a fabulous new stamp/scrapping store?! I think the Star Wars mini kit was a great find! Awesome that you were able to finish the album for Kip during the crop.

Star Wars! Cool beans, I remember that from when my younger brother was a kid . . . yes, I'm dating myself! Very neat find.

Very cool. Great idea and how fortunate to find exactly what you needed in the store. Glad you had a good time scrapping.

I need a kick in the pants to get scrapping again. I've been making kaboodles of cards...but no layouts! You've raised the bar! Congrats. :)

What an adorable scrapbook! Since I've become obsessed with card making, my scrapping has been left behind. I really need to get back into scrapbooking too, I have photos everwhere :) Thanks for inspiring me :)

Good for you for completing a whole album during one crop.

I also don't scrap very often and I don't go to crops anymore. Mostly I felt like I had to be so organized to know exactly what I wanted to do and what supplies I would need to have with me. Too stressful.

For some reason my comment did not make it to you to approve. So I am back to redo a new one!!
I can't believe you scrapped!!! Oh my I am in shock!!! And the biggest shocker is you completed it in one night at a crop, out of town with people you didn't know!! I bet Kip was shocked and i also bet he loved it as you had some awesome pic's you brought to work and showed me!! Love the Album!!
Hugs:)
