Experiment

I have been wanting to try stitching on paper. I am not patient enough to get out my sewing machine and learn how to use it, just to stitch across a card! The last time I was in my LSS I saw these cute template by Bazzill. I got the Girly Girl set. Evidently there is a tool that you can get that works with these templates but they were out of stock. I tried using my paper piercer to make the holes from the template, but the holes were too small for my needle to pass through. So, fortunately my LSS also had this paper, also from Bazzill that already had the holes in it! I gave up on the other template until I can get some medium size needles. I have the big needles that I got when I got the templates and I have small needles that I cross stitch with. The problem with the smaller needles was that I couldn't get enough thread through the eye to get the look I was wanting. So, stay tuned to see if I can make it work!
Look at these colors! I was definitely experimenting today! I was reading in Paper Crafts magazine that grey is a hot color right now. This was one of the color combinations that they used with grey. Yellow is my favorite color so I added lots of that! The black and grey cardstocks are from Making Memories. The brads are from Joann's and the floss is DMC that I had from another project. IRL the grey is a little lighter than it appears here. Have a good night, TFL.

Aww such a cute card. I love gray and yellow together. Especially with a touch of turquoise. TFS-Erica
