So, even though Jenna is having a pool party as part of her birthday Slumber Party, invitations with the pool theme weren't saying "birthday party" to her. I was thinking more along the lines of pool party and she was definitely thinking Birthday Party. Turing nine is a big deal! So I let her pick from all my stamp sets and she wanted a Riley image. Not the one in water, not the one in the hula skirt, not water skiing, although she likes them a lot, they still weren't saying birthday. Then she finally told me that to be a birthday it had to have a cake or something on it. So I grabbed this one and immediately she said "I want that one". We colored the cake with different shade of pink with Prisma Markers and covered the little heart on top with pink Doodlebug glitter. Yes, Riley's ears are sparkling with his/her pink rhinestone earrings! Pink and green are her favorite colors so she was very happy with this pink and green paper we found in my stash, I think it is from a summer pack of DCWV. The paper flowers are Making Memories I believe and the brads are from Paper Studio. The sentiment is from a Fiskers Party stamp set. Hanna stamps, Riley: $3.99, ink:$5.00, paper $1.00. Getting the stamp of approval from a very happy, almost nine year old: absolutely priceless.
We are headed to Gatlinburg for the weekend and will be back on Monday evening. Have a great weekend!
